Electric strikes https://sffecoglobal.com/sffeco-product/electric-strikes/ Sun, 23 Jul 2017 13:42:15 +0000 http://sffecoglobal.com/?post_type=sffeco&p=2179/ Electric strikes intended to replace the strike plate used in fire door frames of the single-section or two-section type. Strikes are used with fire door frames and fire doors having a rating up to and including 3 hours. Only momentary contact switching (energized only when push button is held depressed) should be used with strikes for use with fire door frames and fire doors.

Electric strikes are for use with cylindrical or mortise-type latches having 1/2-, 5/8-, or 3/4-in. latch bolts when such latches are mounted in single-swing doors up to 4 ft in width and 8 ft in height.

Electric Strike work in unification with a conservative mechanical lock case to retain the latch or deadbolt in the striking plate later releasing when required. SFFECO Electric Strikes are made to work with latches or deadlocks, however the basic operation is same. n that the bolt is held behind a movable pivot, which is electrically released. Once released, pushing/pulling on the door causes the pivot to swing out of the way, allowing the door to open. SFFECO Electric strikes are available in a wide variety of types and holding forces.
